Gender Neutral Buffalo Themed Woodland Mountain Nursery Reveal
Finally...the reveal! Colton is now 5 months old and I’m slightly embarrassed that it’s taken me so long to get these photos together.
Being that we kept whether we were having a boy or a girl a surprise until the baby’s birthday, I envisioned a room that wasn’t too masculine or feminine, was outdoorsy and nature inspired. Also, for as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamt of a hot air balloon themed nursery, but I didn’t want it to be cheesy, like most others I’ve seen. I knew I had to incorporate other elements into the design to make it feel juuuuust right…so obviously BUFFALOES were the answer!
I painted the walls myself, made the swings hanging from the ceiling, painted the dresser and bookshelves, designed the animal art above the dresser and my most amazing mother-in-law made the little Buffalo hot air balloons on the walls. I’ll give the rest of the breakdown of where things are from at the very end of the post.
Now, go check out how it very quickly became my favorite room in the house...
