Cute & Easy Valentine's Day Toddler Craft: Pom Monsters
Looking for a super cute and easy Valentine’s Day craft to do with your toddler boy or girl, that’s not too time consuming, isn’t messy and is hands on? Try our pom pom monster tutorial for some super cute V-day kids fun!
As you know, I’m always on the hunt for fun new crafts to do with my 2.5 year old. In the past, we’ve made cute spider garland , cut out bats and ghosts for halloween, made edible play doh and we’re always coming up with new ideas.
For Valentines Day, he told me he wanted to make “monsters”, so, in an attempt to up the cuteness level a bit, we tried turning poms into monsters. It was such a cute and easy project and he loved being involved.
Supply List:
Light Pink Yarn (in blush pink, raspberry & ivory)
Step 1:
Make your poms. I would recommend doing this ahead of time. They’re super easy, but can take some time if you’re making multiples. I recommend making these while watching tv at night, when the kids are asleep and can’t get tangled in your yarn.
Step 2:
Glue on your monster’s “feet” - we used the foam stickers for this and just applied a little glue to them.
Step 3:
Glue on antennae. Cut a pipe cleaner in half or in thirds, depending on the size of your pom and then fold that piece in half. Bend the very tips as the last step and then glue to the top middle center of your monsters “head”.
Step 4:
Add those googly eyes.
Step 5:
Let dry. I let ours dry overnight, just to be safe!
