I always do so much research before buying Colton’s gifts, that I thought I would share my gift guides with you. These are tried and true gifts that don’t involve screens and I’ve covered many different price points for all different budgets. Most of the toys that we get for him are intentional and not just toys to keep him busy. We love to find interactive toys that let him use his imagination and he’s really loved every single gift that he’s ever received from us so far.
Bathtub Basketball Hoop | Sled
Matching Puzzle | Sidewalk Chalk
Digger Sweatshirt: He loves to pick out his own clothes now and this one is always a top pick, for this digger loving boy!
Activity Books: These come with a little pen that you put water in and the images in the book only show up when they “draw” using the water pen. LOVE these as a mess-free coloring option!
Matching Puzzle: He LOVES to match all of these animals so much. We bought them when he was just a year and half, but now at 2 years old, he’s fully mastered matching each animal and does it over and over again.
Sidewalk chalk: SUCH a hit in the warmer months. Chalk is a lifesaver for me when I’m trying to work outside on my laptop while he plays independently. He’s mastered all his colors and loves to announce what color he’s using each time he chooses a new one!
Bathtub Basketball Hoop, Sled & Toss & Grip Catching game: These are gifts that are wrapped and under the tree for this year, so stay tuned on results!
Drill Set | Construction Mat with Vehicles
Musical Shopping Cart | Cash Register
Drill Set: We got this as a gift when Colt was about 1 and a half and at first, it was tough for him to use the drill in a downright position, but he still loved the whole idea and concept of having his own tools. One year later and he’s still playing with this regularly and the drill is slightly easier to use.
Construction Mat with Vehicles: 100% a hit. All the time. Hours of fun.
Where’s Bear Game: As a stacking game itself, this is pretty challenging and really makes him think about how he’s balancing each box it comes with. The game concept is really fun for him, too.
Sabre’s Hockey Stick & Ball: Great for hand/eye coordination. 100% recommend.
Write-n-Learn Creative Center, Musical Shopping Cart & Cash Register: These are gifts that are wrapped and under the tree for this year, so stay tuned on results!
Compact Play Kitchen | Wooden Scooter
Ukulele: It’s a tie between this and the balance bike for most used toy’s. Seriously the best money we’ve ever spent.
Vacuum: This was a purchase around 1.5 years old and has been a hit ever since, especially when we’re vacuuming, he loves to use his vacuum right alongside us.
Balance Bike: Hands down, the best money ever spent. This thing has provided HOURS of entertainment both indoors and outdoors and has helped him learn how to balance. He comes flying down the driveway with his feet in the air and balances like a pro! This should make the transition from a balance bike to a regular bike pretty seamless.
Ball Pit: Oh. My. Gosh. My sister gifted this to Colton on his 1st birthday and it was game over for all of his other gifts. He still uses it daily over a year later. Highly recommend!
Little Car Raceway, Compact Play Kitchen, Wooden Scooter: These are gifts that are wrapped and under the tree for this year, so stay tuned on results!
Slinky & Bath Bombs: These are gifts that are wrapped and under the tree for this year, so stay tuned on results!
Toothbrush: Colton is a pro at brushing his teeth on his own and it obviously promotes good hygiene. It makes teeth brushing a breeze!
Game Controller: I bought this as a little gift to give to Colt on our plane ride to California last year. It’s now a staple on car rides.
Bubbles: Always a hit! We use these a TON in the warmer weather outside, but also inside on chilly days. Who doesn’t love bubbles?!
