Kali's Spring 2020 Internship Reflection
Hello! My name is Kali, and as some of you know I was an intern at Rock Candie Designs this Spring semester. I am a senior in the Communications Department at Medaille College, and I plan on looking for a job in the Social Media Marketing field after graduating. I would say graduation, but COVID-19 had other plans for us. My internship experience with Candace at Rock Candie Designs was nothing less than amazing. Although the world decided to go through a pandemic in the middle of my semester and my internship was cut short, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my involvement with this brand. Candace is easy to work with and is super flexible with meetings and posting around your school schedule. This made it super easy for me to juggle classes, 2 jobs, and an internship in one semester before ending my college career. I loved being able to help brand her Instagram profile along with being able to write creatively for her blog posts. I wish that this semester didn’t have to end this way because this was one of the best internships that I could have chosen for what I am looking to do with my degree. I have ended this internship not only with someone I can totally look up to but someone that I know I could reach out to for whatever I may need. Candace was more than an internship leader to me and I can’t thank her enough for what she has done, and being so understanding with this unusual situation we ended up in.
A note from Rock Candie:
Kali was the hardest working intern that I’ve had. She was always willing to take on a new project, all while juggling 2 jobs, completing her college education and holding an internship with us. Somehow, she handled it all with grace. Her skills and organization helped make our communication effortless and she wasn’t afraid to bring new ideas to the table, which is something I admire greatly.
Kali, it was such a pleasure to have you as a part of the Rock Candie team. I’m so sorry that it was cut short and hope you know that you can reach out to me with ANYTHING you might need in the future.
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR GRADUATION! I know you have a super successful career in Social Media waiting for you. Knock em dead.
My best, always,
