Come Meet Our New Intern, Tara!

Hey there! My name is Tara, and I am the new intern at Rock Candie Designs! Candace wanted me to introduce myself since I'll be writing blog posts and popping on Instagram once in a while!

Where to start…. I live in Wisconsin, and I'm the youngest child, which automatically makes me the favorite child! I grew up playing in the ditch, catching frogs, and drawing. After high school, I didn't take the typical "graduate then go to college" path. I took a year off and worked at a daycare and eventually ended up nannying for a wonderful family for 10 years. During that time, I explored my passion for photography. I started doing freelance photography for families and high school seniors. My experience from my freelance work allowed me to land a job as an assistant wedding photographer. So, basically every Saturday from May to November, you can find me following a bridal party around!

Now, you're probably wondering where does Rock Candie Designs come into play with all this. Well, while I was nannying, I started online classes for Digital Marketing. I knew that I wanted to intern for a business to gain experience. Still, no companies around me were hiring for digital marketing internships, so I hopped on Google and searched for remote digital marketing internships. I can't tell you how many different internships I looked at before I finally found one that spoke to me. Can you guess which one it was?! It's a small business out of Buffalo, NY…yes! Rock Candie Designs! I was in shock when I found Candace's internship job posting! I thought it was too good to be real, but after I searched around her website…and Facebook…..and Instagram, (okay okay, I stalked her business) I knew this was the internship for me! I emailed Candace my resume, and here we are today! I am beyond grateful to Candace for giving me this amazing opportunity!
